David and Melissa Kline: Country of Service ~ Macau

David was born and raised in Huntington, IN and attended Union Church. He fell in love with missions on the first of many short term trips to Haiti while attending Huntington College. Throughout college he volunteered and worked for Youth for Christ in a local middle school. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Educational Ministry with a cross-cultural focus.

Melissa grew up in Grandville, MI and attended Banner of Christ UB Church. Before beginning college she went on the STUMP trip to Jamaica and realized how much she loved working with people from other cultures. She went to Huntington College and majored in Elementary Education. While in college she volunteered and worked for YFC. After graduation she went to Macau as a missionary in August 2001.

David and Melissa became good friends while they worked at YFC. Before Melissa went to Macau they decided to start dating. Over the year and a half Melissa was in Macau, David also volunteered there for two months during the summer. They fell in love and were married on March 22, 2003, in Byron Center, MI. They lived in Huntington for a year while they raised support and returned to Macau as a couple in April 2004.

Their responsibilities currently include teaching in the English Language Program, working with youth and children's ministries as well as building relationships with people in order to share the Gospel.
